Visit Forrest's Fall Group Show

with other artists with winning work in April 2026 at:

~ through October 14th in

The Sherman Library Art Exhibit Area

at 1 Sherman Center in historic Sherman, CT

Winners of the Spring 2026 Great Hollow Preserve art show, the honorable mentions, and art committee members are sharing their art this Fall.

All sales benefit a local artist & the Library, too!  So, plan to visit and purchase their oil and acrylic paintings, photography, pastels and/or the multi-media creations.

This local artists exhibit offers lush rural landscapes, the antics of bears, the beauty of birds, and the joy of gardens as well as multi-media works.  The work by local artists reminds us of the many, stunning faces of nature.

The Spring show and local artists raised $1,700 for the Great Hollow Preserve near Sherman.  Now, the artists' sales of their work at this show will benefit The Sherman Library and its programs.

In honor of Edward Curtis' photographs of "The Native Americans"

At both solo shows this past year, Forrest exhibited new Monochrome oil paintings in his series, honoring Edward S. Curtis' remarkable Native American photographs (1909 -  1930)

Curtis documented what remained of the surviving Native American tribes in silver plate and other photographs--and, after the Trail of Tears & western settlement (from the U.S. Library of Congress' Curtis collection).
